Do you have Twitter account? How many twitters you follow?

As a newbie in Twitter you can’t follow more than 2000 twitters. Why? Twitter put much efforts to fight spam, therefore, they are limiting the amount of people user can follow to 2,000.

What Twitter say about this:

In practice, I found that Twitter’s limit depends on how many people follow you. If you have 2,000 followers, you can exceed the limits and follow more than 2,000 people.

But why should you follow 2000 or more?

Because it is vital. I get this scheme as I started using Twitter.

Scenario to hit following limit: You follow me -> I follow you (it’s a way to thank for following). Both, you and me increase number of followers, which encourages new Twitter user to follow us, because we are followed by big number of followers.

Also, Twitter surfers may find you in my list of followers and follow you, as you have many followers.

Everyday you twit something and I can retwit to you by replying. That means, I shout your name to all my Twitters and some of them can start following you. Your followers number increase

Thank every new follower! Do this by direct message, or shouting “Hello” to them;
