Eliminate Sites Robbing Your Google Adwords Money

Suddenly my Google Adwords image ads campaign started getting toooo much impressions. From 5000 per day to 600000 impressions. The last thing I did that could influence it was lowering default bid for Google content network. I believe it could not make such a difference

I won’t be sorrow if the clicks converted, but it don’t .. Therefore, I looked for a way to find out what sites generate so much impressions. And I found

It can be done via Google Adwords. Here is step by step:

Login to your Google Adwords account;
Go to Reports tab;
Click Create Report;
In Report Type section select Placement Performance (to view performance data for content network sites where your ad has been shown);
In Settings section select to show Level by Ad Group, to group by Domain, wanted Date Range and wanted item to view (Campaign or some Ad groups);
Leave everything else as it is, because it’s optional;
Click Create Report button .

After doing this, Google Adwords generated the report and it was available to view it. After analazing the report I could say which sites blowed campaign’s impressions.

Also, I checked for other sites that had generated many impressions and had no clicks. I decided to remove them too, because it will increase my campaign’s quality score.

So, when I have the list of sites which should be excluded, I can go to Google Adwords tab Tools. In Optimize Your Ads section I choose Site and Category Exclusion.

First, select which campaign impact.

Second, in textbox enter the sites you want to exclude and click Save all changes.

Remember, to check your report every week, maybe some new sites are trying to rob you. Run through the post and do it again. That’s all, your Google Adwords money are saved.
